A woman and two children have died in a house fire in Prestatyn, Denbighshire.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus went into the property at Maes Y Groes at about 22:00 BST on Friday.
A 20-year-old woman, a boy of four and a two-year-old girl were pronounced dead in hospital. A man, 23, and a 15-month-old boy, are both in a serious condition.
Two people have been arrested, said North Wales Police.
Crews from Rhyl and Prestatyn been been at the scene.
'Serious condition'A joint investigation is being carried out between North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Police.
A spokeswoman for Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust said the man and baby were taken to Glan Clwyd Hospital in Rhyl but he was later transferred to Whiston Hospital, Merseyside.
The baby was also transferred for further treatment at Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool.
Police said he was in a poorly condition.
It is understood the property was originally a house that had been converted into flats.
Two fire crews from Rhyl and a crew from Prestatyn brought the blaze under control and carried out a search for any casualties.
The street has been cordoned off.
North Wales Police said two people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
