A man has been fatally struck by a lorry on the M20 after getting out of his car on the hard shoulder, police said.
The driver was hit after stopping his car on the motorway near Ashford at 14:10 BST.
The London-bound carriageway was closed between junctions 10 and 9 for about six hours, causing long delays.
Kent Police said the lorry driver was not arrested. The force said a report was being prepared for the coroner.
