Three people have died in a crash on the A1 in north Nottinghamshire.
A stretch of the road was closed in both directions for several hours following the crash at 23.20 BST on Sunday.
Motorists were advised to avoid the A1 after the collision in Ranby which involved "a number of vehicles", police said.
Two lanes of the northbound carriageway had since reopened but diversions are in place for southbound traffic.
Police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.
